Your information will never be shared, sold or used in any way other than to update you on fabulous new products, order information and relevant news from Cotton Pickin' Everything. If you don't want to hear from us, you can always opt out and unsubscribe.
Class Communication & Google Workspace
I use Google Workspace to manage classes and communications. To be added to the class group messenger, you’ll need a Google account.
If you already have a Gmail, you’ll receive an email invitation to join.
If you don’t use Gmail, you can either sign up for a new Gmail account or create a Google account using your current email. This won’t merge your emails but will allow you to join the class group.
Cancellation and Attendance Policy – Adults. Effective 3/27/2025
Our classes can accommodate a limited number of students; as a result, we often have a waiting list of students that would love the opportunity to participate. We requires a seven-day notice to receive a full refund. However, if you cancel with less than seven days’ notice, will issue a store credit. Cotton
Pickin' Everything Fabricate does require a minimum number of students for a class to move forward. If a class is cancelled, you will receive a full refund or a credit towards a future class.
Class instruction begins at the time posted on each class page. Instructors arrive approximately 15 minutes before class to prepare and set up. Please arrive a few minutes early to allow time to prepare for class, set up your materials, hang your coat, purse, etc. Preparing to learn when class begins will ensure that we cover all the material you’ve paid to learn. Should you have an emergency, please use the group communication, or Text /call 256-630-1916 so that we can be aware of your absence. We do not offer refunds or credit if you miss classes and handle make-ups on a case by case basis, normally a $10 fee is required, as scheduling make-up sessions, then changes the studios availability, for other bookings. If you know in advance that you will need to miss a class, please let us know so we can discuss the best way to handle the missed material. We allow for two (2) reschedules for classes booked due to the limited seats per class.
Private Lesson Attendance/Cancellation
We schedule private lessons based on the availability of our classroom space and the instructor. We requires payment for all privates lessons at time of scheduling confirmation. We require 72 hours notice to receive a refund. Cancellations inside 48 hours are eligible for a studio credit. Less than 24 hours notice cancellations are, not eligible for refund. Reschedules require a minimum of 12 hours to allow instructors to adjust their calendars, and require a $10 rescheduling fee. Scheduled lessons who ‘no show’ or reschedule at the last minute are not eligible for refunds or credit.

Release for use of photos: Cotton Pickin' Everything may take photographs or videos while in class for educational, promotional, advertising, and other purposes. If you do NOT want your photo or your child's photo used, please be sure to let me know BEFORE the start of class.
Sewing Class Safety
At Cotton Pickin' Everything, safety is our top priority. To ensure a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all students, we ask that you follow these guidelines during class sessions:
General Safety Guidelines

Supervision: Students must follow instructor guidance at all times when using sewing machines, irons, and other equipment.

Awareness: Always be mindful of your surroundings, especially when working with sharp tools or hot surfaces.

Respect for Others: Be considerate of your classmates by keeping your workspace organized and following safety protocols.
Sewing Machine & Tool Safety

Machine Operation: Students must receive instruction before operating a sewing machine and should only use machines under supervision.

Needle & Pin Safety: Always keep pins and needles in designated containers when not in use. Never leave needles in fabric or on the floor.

Scissors & Rotary Cutters: These are sharp tools and must be handled with care. Always close and store them properly after use.

Ironing Safety: Irons should only be used on designated ironing stations. Be aware of the hot surface and keep hands clear.
Personal Safety & Attire

Appropriate Clothing: Avoid loose or dangling clothing and jewelry that could get caught in the machine.

Hair & Accessories: Long hair should be tied back to prevent entanglement.

Closed-Toe Shoes: Required for all students to protect feet from dropped tools or sharp objects.
Emergency Preparedness

First Aid: A first aid kit is available on-site. Please report any injuries to the instructor immediately.

Fire Safety: Be cautious when using irons and other heat-producing tools. Fire extinguishers are accessible in case of emergency.

Clean Workspace: Keep your area free of clutter to prevent accidents.
